Dr. Xiao graduated from Hubei Medical University in Wuhan, China in 1987 with his doctor of medicine degree. After graduation he practiced Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in Beijing, China. From 1990 to 1993 he finished a Masters degree in Molecular Biology at Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China. He came to the United States in 1996 to do research in gastroenterology motility at Brown University in Rhode Island. While there he published more than 20 of his articles. From 2004 to 2007 he did his Internship and Residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital South Shore at Far Rockaway, New York. He finished his training with a three year GI fellowship at Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Xiao’s specialty interests include gastrointestinal motility disorders, constipation and gallstone formation. He is on staff at both Aultman Hospital and Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. Dr. Xiao is a participating Medicare and Medicaid provider and is contracted with most commercial insurance carriers.
Dr. Xiao resides in Jackson Township with his wife and son.
